The story of Sun God.

Sun is called the soul of the world in the Vedas. There is life on this earth only because of Sun. In the Vedic period, the Aryans considered Sun to be the creator of the whole world.

The meaning of Surya is inspirer. All beneficiaries are the publisher, all originators. Surya dev has an important place among the deities of Rigveda. Yajurveda has considered the Sun as the eye of God.

In the Chandogyapanishad, the Sun is described as Pranava and asked to meditate on him. The Brahmavairvata Purana considers the sun to be a divine form. The famous Gayatri Mantra is Surya Prak. In Surya Upanishad, Sun has been depicted as the only origin of the world. Sun is described as the soul and Brahman of the world. According to the Shruti of Suryopanishad, the whole world is created and maintained by Sun.

Sun is the soul of the entire universe. Therefore, it is not surprising that since the Vedic period, the sun is worshiped. Earlier it was with mantras. Later on, idol worship became prevalent, so sun temples were built.

In the Bhavishya Purana, the importance of sun worship and temple construction is explained through a dialogue between Brahma and Vishnu. Due to the curse of sage Durvasa, Shri Krishna's son Samba was suffering from leprosy. He got rid of the terrible disease by worshiping the sun. In ancient times, many temples of Lord Surya were built in India. Not only in Vedic literature, but in Ayurveda, astrology, palmistry, the importance of the Sun has been propounded.

Chariot of the sun

The expansion of this chariot is nine thousand yojanas (Light years). Its axle is 1.5 crore yojan long, to which the wheel is attached. The entire Kalachakra is situated in the axis-form of the six nemi-forms consisting of three navels, parivatsara, etc., and the six-season form of that Purvahna, Madhyahna, and Sandhyanh.

The seven verses are its horses: Gayatri, Brihati, Ushnih, Jagati, Trishtubha, Anushtubh, and Pankti. The second axle of this chariot is forty-five and a half thousand yojanas long. The magnitude of its two lice is equal to the magnitude of its two lice. The smaller axle is situated at the base of the pole along with the yoke of that chariot and the wheel of the other axle is situated on the Manastottar mountain.
